We got back from Koen's wish trip to Disney on Tuesday night. It was a ton of fun but we were all so tired and ready to be home. They gave us a 3-day pass for 4 Disney parks, a day pass for Sea World and a 2-day pass for Universal Studios. We make it to 3 or the 4 Disney parks, one day to Sea World and because we were all amusement parked out we took one day and went to the beach. You could really tell Koen was really enjoying himself. He truly is one amazing kids. During the week he got a blister on both feet and sunburn on his feet and lower back (where we missed with sunscreen) and this kid never complained once. You can tell he's so much tougher these days then he was before cancer. I guess he's already been to hell and back so a blister or sunburn is no big deal to him. He is just doing well these days! Loving life and feeling good again! He has his 3 month check up on this Monday. He'll have 3 appointments in one morning. First hearing at 8:30, praying to see recovered hearing results. Then at 9:30 an ultasound of his tummy. Then up to see his docs at 11:00. He's actually excited about going back I think and looking forward to seeing everyone. Please say a prayer on Monday that Koen will remain healed and free of cancer. Also to handle 3 appointments well! Loving Life to the Fullest!

Hi Everyone!
Hope your all looking forward to Spring as much as we are! Just thought I wuold update you on how Koen is doing. Two words SO AWESOME! His hair has really come in and just looking at him you wouldn't even know he had cancer. He's loving life to the fullest! He loves playing with his brothers and being outside. You can really tell he was kept inside way too much over the last 6 months. Any nice day we have he wakes up asking to go outside. He's even gotten strong enough to where he rides his bike everywhere. He still has just a little bit of a limp but we are seeing that go away with every week. We are going to be making his make-a-wish trip from April 7-13th. We are all so excited for this and looking forward to just spending time as a family and being in a magical place. When we get back he will be having his 3 month check up. Asking for prayer for this, as you just never know if the cancer could have come back. There is always that 20% chance that he could easily fall into. I really feel he is cancer free and will be for the rest of his life. But a little prayer never hurts. Koen's "4"

Join us in wishing our Big guy Koen a Happy Birthday! Reaching the age of 4, he's already endured more then most of us will in a lifetime. With the odds of getting the cancer he had of one in a million, his resolve has shown us that he is just that special. We are so proud of you Koen!Happy Birthday!

Happy Days!

Happy Days! Koen's been having some really happy days. With no chemo he's a new little boy! Seeing how happy he is this really makes us realize how bad he felt and how tough of a journey it was for him. His hair is really starting to come back! Every morning he wakes up with more on his head. He still has the cast on but has learned how to get everywhere he needs. It is so cute when he uses his little walker or is working his way up the stairs on his hands and knees. With each step his casted leg sticks straight out. Makes me laugh! Over the weekend we are going to be getting the house ready and doing party planning for his BIG bash next weekend. We thought it was only appropriate to celebrate the ending of this long journey. He is also turning 4 on February 5th. We would like to invite all of you to come! I know it is late notice. But if you are able to come you are invited to come Celebrate with us. Little Walker

Koen got his little walker today in order to help him get around the house. I was surprised he was totally ready to try it out. He's such my little hero! Love you buddy you amaze your mama! Today we are headed to the hospital for Koen's surgery to remove his port.
